Ginko biloba is a lovely shade tree, the only living species in the division Ginkgophyta, all others being extinct. It is a non-flowering plant. Ginkgos are dioecious, with separate sexes, some trees being female and others being male. Male trees produce pollen cones while females produce two ovules that develop into the seeds.
