Avozilla is a monster fruit with superb eating quality, a natural hybrid of the West Indian race of avocados and the Guatemalan. Currently commercially grown in South Africa and exported. Due to this being a newly developed cultivar there are no trees available yet in retail nurseries.

Harvesting

Fruit is climacteric, it matures on the tree and ripens off the tree, it is harvested while it is still hard, as it will ripen and soften once picked.

Root seeds suspended over a container of water with base of the pit in the water, plant out when roots have developed, fruiting can take between 4 and 10 years with this method.
Cuttings
Best propagation method is by terminal or lateral grafting.
