The White Everlasting is a very attractive and drought tolerant garden subject perfect for fynbos and coastal gardens. With its shiny, silvery, felted stems and leaves and its lovely, crisp, papery flowers with bright yellow centers, this plant is of great enjoyment to all gardeners - amateur and expert alike. The ornamental flowers are long lasting cut-flowers and great as dried flowers useful on gifts, greeting cards or in potpourri.

A long-lasting cut-flower can be harvested by cutting the stem at its base.

Propagation

Cuttings
Tip or stem cuttings root well in multi-trays on heated benches under mist spray. Cuttings are rooted in autumn or spring in a rooting medium of equal parts bark and polystyrene chips.
Seed
Seed is sown in well-drained, sandy soil and subjected to smoke treatment. Seed is normally sown from late summer into autumn.
