Juncus effusus

Bog rush, Needle grass, Rush (Eng.), Biesie (Afr.)

1/3

Easy growing wetland plant for gardens with wet areas. Also used as a weaving fibre for mats and crafts. Although the stems appear from a distance as coarse and stiff, they are soft to the touch. May be grown at the edge of a pond or water garden, in boggy areas an overall good water garden accent plant.
