This erect, well-branched shrub is known for its sticky leaves and attractive dark pink flowers. It flowers sporadically throughout the year but mostly in Spring. This particular Pelargonium has an interesting feathered, spiral-shaped coil attached to the seed that assists in distribution and drilling into soil. They can withstand extreme temperatures and a variety of climatic conditions.

Flowers can be harvested for cut flowers or the leaves can be picked and used for potpourri.

Propagation

Seed
Sow seeds in late summer and early autumn in a light, well-drained potting soil, at a depth of one-and-a-half times the size of the seed. Water thoroughly but gently. Germination takes 4 weeks.
Cuttings
Take semi-mature stem cuttings, 15 cm long and apply rooting hormone. Insert into prepared holes to avoid damaging the ends and keep moist to root, which takes 3-4 weeks.
