This multi-branched, scrambling, woody shrub grows to a height of 5-6 m, and has the possibility of being used as a hedge screen. With its pretty greyish-brown bark, decorative heart-shaped foliage, and sweet-scented orchid-like flowers, this plant makes a beautiful addition to any garden. The shrub flowers profusely during spring and summer and is fairly drought-tolerant.

Propagation

Seed
Sow seeds in Spring or Summer, 1-2 mm deep. Germination takes 3 weeks but can be speeded up by soaking seeds overnight in warm water. Replant carefully as soon as the first pair of true leaves appear.
