Figs are small deciduous trees with large leathery leaves. Adams is a medium to large fig with purple skin with darker ribs and red pulp. Adam are a medium sized, rounded multi-stemmed tree. They are self fertile and produce medium to large sized fruit. Skin is blue with a pink/red flesh. A lovely high quality fruit.

Harvesting

Figs are ripen when the skin changes colour and the fruit becomes less firm. The fruit bruises easily so pick before they are fully ripe.

Propagation

Seed
Sow seed in Autumn. Germination time about 1-3 months.
Cuttings
Take 30-40cm long cuttings and plant them third to half way deep in sandy soil mix.
