Harvesting

The first peppers will begin to set 60-70 days after planting seedlings. Pods will change from green to yellow and red as they ripen. Wait until the fruits are about 7-10 cm before cutting them from the stem. Picking smaller peppers early in the season often provides a longer, more prolific harvest.

Propagation

Seed
Sow seed indoors in spring or directly in summer, 10-15 mm deep and 30-40 cm apart. Germination takes 10-28 days. Transplant seedlings when they have a pair of true leaves or are 5 cm tall.
