Avonia papyracea

A very nice, tiny, green flesh ornamental succulent with its leaves covered in silvery white scales. The upright stems grows from a caudex or succulent underground stem. The flowers last only an hour or two, but have a pleasant fragrance. It can survive with very little water being from the Karoo and other very dry areas and can be grown indoors and outdoors.

Propagation

Seed
Can be grown from seed, but often die in cultivation because they are overwatered. Germination is fast, usually at temperatures at 15-21'C, but try not to overwater after gemination.
Division
Divide by splitting clumps of plants and replant to new pots.
