Hoodia gordonii

Succulent plant from very dry areas and traditionally used by the Bushman people to suppress hunger. The chemical was isolated by the WNNR and are manufactored to supply the pharmaceutical companies. Since 2002 a portion of sales provide funds going towards develpoment of the Bushman tribes.
