Coral gem

Lotus maculatus var. Yellow

Parrot's beak, Lotus vine flower, Pelican beak (Eng.)

Perennial groundcover with grey leaves and striking yellow flowers. Waterwise and hardy, it is a good choice for rockeries and pots where it will cascade over the edges. A long flowering season makes this a popular plant in gardens, although in the natural habitat it is almost extinct. The pollinators are considered to be birds and although the garden plants get plenty of pollen, it rarely set fruit or seed.
