This weeping aspen branches droop with leaves that tremble & rustle in the wind. Young leaves appear bronze turning green & then butter yellow in the autumn. In late winter it produces purple grey catkins.

A low maintenance tree, it does need to be sited away from drains & foundations but suits coastal & exposed gardens.
Can be attacked by caterpillars, leaf beetles (willow & poplar) and sawflies. It can also suffer from Bacterial canker & rust.
