Crocus chrysanthus 'E.A. Bowles'

Crocus chrysanthus 'E.A. Bowles'

An interesting cultivar of the genus Crocus. Named after the man who discovered it, E.A Bowles, this plant produces attractive buttery yellow, cup-shaped blooms with slightly darker yellow shading at the base of petals. Once extremely common in gardening, this cultivar was readily available in bulb catalogues in the 80s. Commercially grown stocks were then muddled with other clones and this cultivar became a rare find.
