Problems

Spider mites and mealybugs are the most common pests affecting schefflera plants. For light infestation, wash the plant with water and soap, this should eliminate the pests. With heavier infestations, you many need to treat the plant with an insecticide. Pest attacks generally indicated stressed plants, if pests are present, pay attention to the location of the plant in terms of light and the watering regime. The most common disease that affects schefflera is root rot. This disease is brought on by overwatering and poor drainage in the soil.
