This species is relatively rare and is only found in a small area of South Africa. It is one of the most beautiful indigenous species of the Hyacinth family and also one of the showiest species within its genera. The unique flowers are incomparable to others within its family.

Harvesting

Harvest seeds from seed pod when ripe and sow immediately.

Sow seeds when ripe. Sow to a depth of 1 cm and space them 10 cm apart from each other. It should take 4 to 5 years to reach maturity and flower.
Division
Divide large clumps during the dormant period (summer). Place them at a depth of 3 cm and space them 10 cm apart from each other.
