Albuca clanwilliam-gloria

A flowering bulb with dainty bell flowers. This unique and distinctive species produce the tallest flower stalk within its genus. It is extremely water-wise and drought tolerant. A great addition to xeriscape or waterwise gardens. This plant is suitable for experience gardeners who are looking for a challenge.

Harvesting

Harvest the tall flowers in spring or early summer for flower arrangements. Harvest the seed pods when they have dried up, either sow seeds straight away or keep them in an air-tight bag till the first rains in winter.

Sow seeds in situ, directly on top of the the sandy soil in autumn for in winter for the rains to germinate the seeds.
Division
Only divide large overgrown bulbs, as small bulbs tend to struggle to regrow and need support from the motherbulb.
