Plectranthus fruticosus 'Lianne'

1/4

A shade-loving shrub that has a mass of dark blue-mauve tubular shaped flowers on a long purple flowering spike (80-250mm long). Leaves are aromatic when crushed. Flowering begins in late summer to autumn. It is a shade plant that can tolerate some full sun. Plants are easy to grow, but frost tender. Responds well to pruning in winter, together with composting to improve flowering. "Lianne" is a fruticosus variety naturally occurring in Mpumalanga, which is a summer rainfall region or RSA.
