Up-to-Date is an easy to grow, high yield variety of potato that produces floury tubers with a low moisture content, a high starch content and is suitable for cooking. They make great mash, chips and roast potatoes.

Up-to-Date potatoes take between 90 and 120 days to full harvest.
Plant tubers in early spring or autumn, 7-10 cm deep and 15-20 cm apart. Add soil to form ridges as the plant grows.
Up-to-date potatoes are heavy feeders and require a lot of nutrients. Do not replant in the same area, unless other crops has grown for 4 years or the soil is fumigated.

The tubers are powdery, good for all round use, doesn't normally discolour after cooking and make great French fries. They are great for mashing and baking because they're brittle.
Very susceptible to early and late blight. Susceptible to wart diseases, common scab, potato leafroll virus and potato virus Yo, dry rot and skin spot.
