1/3

Eggplants are edible plants, part of the nightshade family that also include tomatoes and patatoes. The Diamond variety bare long fruit, other than the more well-known 'Black beauty' variety and is not prone to bitterness. It is a quite low maintenance and easy to grow plant, as long as a level of basic care is provided. Keep in mind that these plants need a long season from seed, so consider starting under cover and plant out when frosts have finished.
