An easy to grow architectural but small spreading deciduous tree. It has tactile peeling attractive papery orange-brown bark and striking crimson and scarlet colour foliage in autumn. Small yellow flowers in summer.
Propagate by seed or grafting. Juvenile cuttings are easier to root
