Awarded an RHS AGM this compact medium-sized agave has tough narrow leaves with many attractive curling white threads along the leaf margins and a sharp terminal spine. Usually forming a single growing point it does - on occasion - form offsets and with time will develop a short woody trunk.

Notes
A low maintenance conservatory/indoor plant that is drought tolerant & provides architectural structure to container plantings. If grown in free draining containers it can survive outside if given a sheltered position.

Problems

Scale insects can infest leaves & flower stems. You will notice sticky honeydew, sooty moulds and fouling of older foliage. Prolonged infestation causes weakened growth. This agave is also vulnerable to chlorosis if they experience a magnesium deficiency.
