Air potato is family of the edible yam - it is the most consumed of the different plants known as yam and produced in West Africa. It grows up into trees and once escape, it can become invasive quickly! It makes storage organs or structures in leave oxcils and underground tubers. Both are edible, and when boiled, the bitter taste dissapear, although some wild forms can be toxic. Rather make sure to plant known cultivated varieties! It is a quick growing vine with large green alternating leaves.
