This shrub rose is very prickly with mid green leaves. In early summer it produces single fragrant pink flowers that develop into prickly yellow hips.

Can be grown as hedging/screens in informal/cottage gardens. They also are included in wildlife friendly gardens.
Can be attacked by rose aphids, leaf hoppers, sawfly, leaf-rolling sawfly, red spider mites, scale insects, caterpillars. Deer & rabbits can also be a problem. They can suffer from black spot, rose rust & powdery mildew.
