This Begonia species lies in the cane-stem horticultural group, these plants have erect stems up to 1m high. This evergreen perennial has fibrous roots and cane-like stems bearing asymmetrical, wavy, toothed foliage. Leaves are heart-shaped and dramatically marked with silver-white spots on the topside, coloured red on the underside. Produces white or pink flowers which make a stunning display, this plant is frequently grown indoors as a houseplant for its striking foliage.
