Signet Marigold

Tagetes tenuifolia

Golden marigold

Tagetes tenuifolia is a half-hardy annual bedding plant with very attractive yellow and orange flowers. The flowers are edible and can be used as a garnish while the aromatic foliage has a slight citrus scent. The flowers give a warm sunny feeling that is right at home in a seasonal bedding display. Due to its short lifecycle, it can be used to great effect as a filler plant in a herbaceous border until the perennials have reached an adequate size.
