Biological treatment

Chickens and ducks will eat any slugs and snails that you have in your garden. You can make traps for them, which can be made out of fruits such as oranges or melon, or you can use beer which will attract and trap them. Remove them by hand.

Chemical treatment

You can buy slug pellets in garden centres and throw them around your plants. These should be thrown thinly and kept out of reach to prevent and animals or children eating them.

Attracts this pest

Slugs will feed off of almost any plant that it can get itself onto, including vegetables and fruits.
